FOR THE 2007/2008 ACADEMIC YEAR
I. RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS
Note: The remark "basic and extended level required" means that the extended level is required.

Kind of
studies: Ist degree (Bachelor)
Form of studies: full-time
Duration: 3 years
Places: 70
Qualification
Subjects taken into account:
- French – basic and extended level is required.
The candidates who passed the "new GCSE" [nowa matura], must have on their diploma a note in
- French – basic and extended level is required.
The candidates who passed the "ancient GCSE" [stara matura], have to pass the Central Entrance Examination[Centralny Egzamin Wstępny, CEW] in:
- French – basic and extended level is required.
The candidates who passed the International GCSE [Matura Międzynarodowa, IB], must have on their diploma a note in
· French – higher level is required. (HL).
Evaluation - calculations
In evaluating candidates who passed the s.c. "new GCSE" [nowa matura], the GCSE results are counted following the formula:
1% = 1 point;
The results in the GCSE examination in French on the basic level are counted as 0,5 (max. 50 percent points);
The results in the GCSE examination in French on the extended level are counted as 1,5 (max. 150 percent points).
In evaluationg candidates who passed the s.c. "ancient GCSE" [stara matura], the results of the Central Entrance Examinations (CEW) are counted:
The results of the Central Entrance Examinations (CEW) in French on the basic level are counted as 0,5 (max. 50 percent points);
The results of the Central Entrance Examinations (CEW) in French on the extended level are counted as 1,5 (max. 150 percent points).
As to candidates having an International GCSE [Matura Międzynarodowa, IB] on the higher level (HL), the results are counted as follows:
- 7 points – 100%
- 6 points – 85%
- 5 points – 71%
- 4 points – 57%
- 3 points – 42%
- 2 points – 28%
- 1 point – 14%
It is presumed that the candidate has collected in the basic level paper a result of around 100%.
The final result is obtained by dividing the sum of the particular components in two.
Students are admitted upon a ranking list assembling all the candidates, till the limit of places is attained.
Allowances
The following persons obtain automatically a maximum of points available:
LAUREATES and of the central part of the following school olympiades:
Olympiade of the French Language
LAUREATES
qualified for the Polish round of the Championship in Theses of Young Searchers [Konkurs Prac Młodych Naukowców Uniii Europejskiej] in the European Union.
The persons mentioned above must register and pay the recruitment fee.
The laureates of the Olympiade have to confirm their privileges in the Bureau for Recruitment [Biurze do spraw Rekrutacji] in the Casimir Palace [Pałac Kazimierzowski], ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, room 4.

Duration: 3 years
Places : 50
The studies are submitted to a fee.
Recruitment.
There is no separate recruitment procedure for part-time studies.
