FRENCH IN PRACTICE - RÉSUMÉ

This course will help the students to master techniques of writing résumés (active reading, decoding logical relationships within the text, analysis of the vocabulary, reviewing of grammar and stylistics).

It prepares one directly to write Bachelor and M.A. theses. The prefessional life, whatever its domain and the post concerned,  requires as well to read texts actively, to understand perfectly what one has read.   

Programme:

1. study of formal specificity of the  résumé and the summary -  synthèse when compared to the compte rendu 

2. work on texts: reading and analysis of literary, press and popular science texts.

3. writing of réumés; discussion and comparison of different résumés of the same text. 

Credit: assiduity, compositions (résumés).

Written examinaton in the winter or the summer session.
