NEW ISSUES IN LINGUISTICS

This seminar presents the major theories in contemporary linguistics: the speech theory (Austin, Searle), the conversational maxims (Grice), the argumentation theory (Anscombre, Ducrot, Carel) and the cognitive theory (Johnson and Lakoff).
